- Leadership for Business (Hammond)
- This text is designed to develop essential management skills and covers internal/external business environments, management functions, human resources, marketing, and accounting principles. As of early 2024, updated course outcome summaries for this specific class were under development.
- Managing People (Gehrett)
- This course is designed to establish a foundation for front line supervisory effectiveness. Concepts in this course will develop practical skills in hiring, training, communication, motivation, counseling, employee evaluation and conflict resolution. The course includes important theories and readings, case studies, relevant videos, and self-assessment to develop a supervisory philosophy of their own.
- Operations Management (Hammond)
- I developed the new Operations Management course for the Business Management program at Western Technical College to introduce students to the core concepts of operations management and its impact on organizational success. The course covers essential skills, from managing daily operations to planning and executing long-term projects, providing a comprehensive understanding of how businesses function efficiently.
- Organizational Behavior (Hammond)
- I developed a new Organizational Behavior course that will be used in the Business Management program at Western Technical College. This is the first core course in the program and it is designed to introduce students to human behaviors in the workplace. Additionally, effective communication is emphasized throughout the course and students are encouraged to cultivate a growth mindset.
- Organizational Culture (Gehrett)
- This text examines employee engagement in the workplace to improve morale and foster a positive, productive work environment. It highlights effective business communication and the impact of culture on organizational effectiveness.
- Principles of Management (Hammond and Gehrett)
- This course is designed to introduce students to the POLC framework as well as basic business concepts. Each concept will be covered in more detail in subsequent classes in the program.
