    Scenario

    After meeting with Tom, you have coached Tom to a realization of his original vision and mission for Sun City Boards: “To set people free from the earth . . . free to ride the waves.” As you learned in this module, there are three foundational statements: Mission, Vision and Values. Tom’s original vision serves as a great starting point for a values statement.

    For Discussion

    1. As preparation for this discussion, read Patagonia’s Core Values and reflect on the clarity that this type of commitment brings to planning and operational decisions.
    2. Reflect on what you learned in this module and propose a statement of values for Sun City Boards that is consistent with Tom’s stated vision and mission.
