Prudent, long-term oriented investors avoid speculating and short-term trading. However, since you are now official Investment Gurus and this is an Introduction to Investments course and textbook, you need to be well-versed in these weapons of mass financial destruction, if only to guard your friends, family members, and colleagues from self harm.
