In your continuing work with the Operations area at Informational Systems (IS), you meet with non-management employees to discuss performance issues. They reinforce the information you received from their managers—goals are set at unrealistic levels as almost no one achieves their quarterly target. The employees go on to describe the impact of working harder and still failing—low morale, stress, absenteeism, and turnover.
