Applying the Bible to Business
We are all recipients and stewards of God’s Grace. “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.” (1 Peter 4:10). God has given each of us different talents and abilities to serve Him, which is called our vocation.
Some people have deep compassion, which fits well in serving others in the vocation of health care, while some individuals like to develop and lead people or organizations in business management. For example, one of the first businessmen listed in the bible was Abram. In the scriptures, we can see that "Abram had become very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold” Genesis 13: 1-2. Each person’s talents and vocation are unique. God has equipped each of us perfectly for the vocation he has for us.
In this chapter, we will be looking at the traits of a good manager. As you read this chapter, think about the talents God has given you. What traits do you have that make you a good manager? Are there some traits you need to work on? God is there to help equip you in your vocation. Ask Christ to guide you in your vocation. There is peace and joy in pursuing who God created you to be!
